1. If you have the correct continetal grip then it&#039;s very uncomfortable and difficult to direct the ball if your body is facing the net. Try it!

2. Sideways position enables you to move much quicker forward and backward which happens most of the times when someone lobs you.

3. You can hit harder since you rotate towards the ball from the sideways position.</description>
